1. Go to: http://www.skype.com/download/
2. Choose your operating system, or let the website choose by clicking "Download Now"
3. Follow the detailed instructions to download and install Skype.

Setting up the computer

1. Be sure you are plugged into a network or connected via wireless.
2. If you have a webcamera or microphone be sure they are connected and functioning.

Using the Skype software

1. Launch Skype and create a Skype account username and password.
2. Skype has some great instructions so just follow along!
